Mr. Michael A. Nosek, 69, of Rinard, Illinois, died at 11:59 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Michael was born on December 28, 1946, in Clay County, Illinois, in Oskaloosa Township to Norman and Annabelle (Bonham) Nosek. He married Jo Ann Kuhlig on November 5, 1966, in Flora, Illinois. He was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked as an oil field mechanic for Union Oil Company then Noble Energy. For over 50 years, Michael was a member of Bloom Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. He was a member of the Clay City Bow Club where he served as president for many years. When his children were younger, he coached little league. He enjoyed bow hunting and was a true outdoorsman. Most of all, he loved his family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Nosek of Rinard, IL, children, Todd Nosek of Rinard, IL, Tammy Mefford and husband Billy of Rinard, IL, Troy Nosek and wife Kristi of Olney, IL, Debby Wiley and husband Scott of Louisville, IL, Jenny Sanders and husband Tony of Louisville, IL, niece, Jessica Quinn and husband Ben of New Market, Alabama, grandchildren, Amber Galbraith and husband Dennis, Cheyenne Nosek, Allison Mefford, Anna Jo Mefford, Jessica Mefford, Veronica Mefford, Trey Nosek, Kyan Nosek, Jude Nosek, Emma Wiley, Ethan Sanders, Gracey Sanders, Joseph Sanders, Hayley Quinn, and Aubrey Quinn, great-grandchildren, Raydyn, Pricilla, and Rawlyn, sister, Mary Pharris of MI, and brother, Eddie Nosek and wife Lisa of Clay City, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Nosek.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2016, at Bloom Baptist Church in Flora, Illinois. Interment will follow at Bunker Cemetery in Rinard, Illinois with full military rites. Friends may call from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois.
