Gary Bryan Eckelberry

Mr. Gary Bryan Eckelberry, 63, of Xenia, Illinois, died at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015, at his home. Gary was born July 1, 1952, in Sinton, Texas, to Eldoris and Mildred (Maibes) Eckelberry. On July 1, 1977, he married Debbie Fatheree in Flora, Illinois. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a trustee for the village of Xenia for 9 years. He loved metal detecting, fishing and was the best hush puppy maker. He enjoyed spending time with his family, studying the word of God, and caring for people in many ways.

Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie (Fatheree) Eckelberry of Xenia, IL, brothers, Jerry (Nancy) Eckelberry of Wixon, MI, Darrell (Karen) Eckelberry of Flora, IL, Dean (Eunsook) Eckelberry of Warrenton, VA, Dale (Marjorie) Eckelberry of Xenia, IL, sister, Norma Lee (Jerry) Kling of Flora, IL, several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Eldoris and Mildred Eckelberry and by his sister Mary Ann (Eckelberry) Ford.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL. Friends may call from 11 – 1 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Kohn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.
