Terry Spillman

Terry Spillman, 59, of Flora, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Clay County Hospital.  Terry was born January 9, 1959, to Dale and Marjorie (Fornshell) Spillman.  He married Debbie Brewer on August 17, 1985, in Olney.

Terry was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing, coin collecting, auctions, and guns, but his greatest love of all was playing with his grandchildren.

Terry worked at Hella for the last 30 years.  He was a loving husband to his wife, Debbie, and a fabulous father to his children.  He also enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie; daughter Amanda (Jarod) Fearn of Cisne, son Travis (Carey) Spillman of Flora, and daughter Natasha Tesfay of Springfield; grandchildren, Clayton and Lyla Fearn, Wade Spillman, and Jayden Tesfay; brothers, David (Earlene) Spillman and Jerry (Terri) Spillman, sisters; Frances (Lester) Brown, Pat (Terry) Walker, Janice (Bob) Varner and Judy (Mike) Ray; sister-in-laws, Pam Spillman, Jan (Phillip) Bennett, Mary Spillman, and Carolyn Spillman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Marjorie Spillman, brothers, Kennard, Marlin, Richard, Harold, Phil, and Larry Spillman, sister-in-law, Anita, and granddaughter, Arbur Spillman.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Flora Church of the Nazarene in Flora, IL.  Interment will immediately follow at Campground Cemetery in Xenia, IL.  Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Flora Church of the Nazarene.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the Clay County Cancer Crusaders or St. Jude Hospital and may be received at Kohn Funeral Home or during services at the church.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
