Sandra Thompson

Sandra Lee Thompson, 68, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away at 8:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at her home.  Sandra was born in Xenia, Illinois, on October 6, 1949, to Lionel and Thelma (Hunley) Burkett.  She graduated from high school in St. Charles, IL.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing woodworking.  She loved her dogs and most of all, her family. 

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Senna Lewis (Shannon Williams) of Xenia, IL;  grandchildren, Jessie Pettit (Derek Bible) of Xenia, IL, Bailey Martin of Xenia, IL, and Seth Williams of Xenia, IL; great-grandchildren, Zayden and Mariah Bible; brother, Lonnie Burkett of Xenia; and nephews, Johnny (Linda) Burkett of Rinard, David (Tammy) Burkett of Xenia, and Jerry (Angie) Burkett of Xenia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, life partner, Wayne Rinehart, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and sister-in-law, Joyce Burkett.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.  Interment will immediately follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Xenia.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Kohn Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Fur a Good Paws and may be received at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
