Donald R. Williamson

Mr. Donald Robert Williamson, 78, of Dieterich, Illinois, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.  Donald was born on April 4, 1941, in St. James, Missouri, to Oscar “Hop” and Lola Lorraine (Eskew) Williamson.  He married Jacqueline Sue Graham on October 17, 1960, at Louisville Christian Church in Louisville, Illinois.  He was a past 32⁰ Mason in Effingham.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his early years and also, camping and riding on the golf cart.  Most of all, he loved his family.

Donald is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Sue Williamson of Dieterich, IL; daughter, Tammy S. Macklin and husband Mike of Mason, IL; son, Donald R. Williamson II and wife Nancy of Altamont, IL; grandchildren, Lucas Bierman and wife Stephanie of Mason, IL, Melinda Kimmer and husband Matt of Durand, MI, Sarah Niebrugge and husband John of Altamont, IL, Jennifer Morris and husband Kevin of Altamont, IL, Jason Williamson and wife Erica of Tuscola, IL, and Justin Williamson of Kansas City, MO; step-grandchild, Ryan Macklin of Mason, IL; brother, Shawn Williamson and wife Dawn of Columbia, IL; and 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Joseph Williamson. 

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Winterrowd Christian Church in Dieterich, IL.  Visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Winterrowd Christian Church.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association or Donor’s Choice.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
