Mrs. Betty L. Workman, 81, of Flora, Illinois, died at 9:43 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017, at her home. Betty was born on February 24, 1936, in Flora, Illinois, to Harold and Ruth (Carter) Trotter. On September 15, 1962, she married Charles Lee Workman in Flora, Illinois. Over the years Betty worked at Flora International Shoe Factory and also at Spartan Manufacturing.
Betty is survived by her son Charles Leroy Workman of Flora, IL, her grandchildren, Charles Dale Workman and wife Ashley of Louisville, IL, Brittani Michelle Workman of Louisville, IL, her great grandchildren, Charles Workman and Noah Workman. She was preceded in death by her parents and also by her husband, one sister, Rosa Allison and one brother, Wallace Trotter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, Illinois. Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Clay County Cancer Crusaders.
