Nicholas K. DiSandro

Mr. Nicholas Keith DiSandro, 66, of Flora, Illinois, passed away at 5:05 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at his home.  Nicholas was born on July 15, 1952, to Lefty Emilio and Wanda June (Edwards) DiSandro in East St. Louis, Illinois.  After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He married Brenda (Schoonover) DiSandro on July 5, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Flora.  He loved fishing and woodworking.  He also enjoyed gardening “by force”.  He was happiest being outdoors and with his family.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Flora.

Nicholas is survived by his wife, Brenda DiSandro of Flora, IL; son, Norman DiSandro and wife Shannon of Lubbock, TX; step-children, Mike Griffin and wife Marki of Port Orchard, WA, Angie McKnight and husband Rob of Flora, IL, and Robbie Murphy and wife Betty of Flora, IL; granddaughter, Kinleigh DiSandro; brother, Robert Emilio DiSandro of East St. Louis, IL; aunt, Bertha Morris of Norris City, IL, 11 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lefty and Wanda DiSandro, brother, Leslie Young, sisters, Pat Elkins, Carolyn Black, Rita Herold, Beverly Scott, and Diane DiSandro, aunt, Freda Doner, grandparents, Robert and Bertha Edwards, and Mr. and Mrs. DiSandro.
