Chad E. Kuhlig

Mr. Chad Edward Kuhlig, 39, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away at 2:35 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017.  Chad was born on March 10, 1978, to John and Connie Kuhlig in Olney, IL.  He graduated from North Clay High School in 1997.  After high school, he attended Lakeland College.  On October 6, 2007, Chad married Nicole Woods in Xenia, IL.  Over the years, Chad worked at the Clay County Jail, Sears in Flora, and NAL.  He was currently employed at Wabash Communications as an operator with the construction department.  In his younger years, he attended the Flora Church of the Nazarene, and was baptized at the Louisville Methodist Church.  He was a member of the Louisville American Legion Post #914    and Whitetails Unlimited.  He enjoyed watching sports including football, baseball, and Nascar.  He loved the St. Louis Cardinals.  Chad had a heart of gold; he always had a smile on his face and kind word to say.  Most of all, he loved his family, friends, and beloved dog, Zoey.   

Chad is survived by his wife, Nicole Woods Kuhlig of Louisville, IL; mother, Connie (Charles) Block of Cisne, IL; father, John (Jeremy) Kuhlig of Evansville, IN; sister, Phoebe Kuhlig of Evansville, IN, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Pam Woods of Louisville, IL; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his special girl and beloved dog, Zoey.  He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and twin cousin, Christy. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.  Interment will immediately follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville, IL.  Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Chad’s family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
