Robert F. Blank

Mr. Robert F. Blank, 74, of Louisville, Illinois, died at 7:07 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois with his wife by his side.  Robert was born on June 21, 1941, in Claremont, Illinois, to Theodore and Irene (Wagner) Blank.   He proudly served our nation in the United States Army.  Robert married Debra McDowell on December 19, 1998.  He worked at Auto Parts in Olney for a time and then became an operator at Quebecor where he retired on June 13, 2003.  He was a member of the VFW Post #3999 and American Legion Post #14.  Robert was a member of the Flora 1st United Methodist Church where he attended the “Seekers” Sunday school class. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Debra Blank of Louisville, IL, daughter, Sherry Gaa and husband Rick of Peoria, IL, son, Scott Blank and wife Crystal of Galesburg, IL, stepchildren, Tony Bible of Beecher City, IL, Tammy Burkett and husband Dave of Xenia, IL, and Nathan Bible of Hord, IL, grandchildren, Nicholas Gaa, Spencer Gaa, Sadie Blank, and Jasper Blank, step-grandchildren, Drew Bible, John Bible, Michael Mayberry, and Rusty Mayberry, sisters, Margaret Blank of New Harmony, IN, Ruth Coan and husband Phillip of Kalkaska, MI, Rose Wilkinson of New Harmony, IN, Theresa Bowlby and husband John of Olney, IL, and brother, Paul Blank and wife Clara of Olney, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his first wife, Dee Scott Blank, brothers, Daniel Blank and Ronald Blank, and brother-in-law, John Wilkinson. 

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois.  Friends may call from 10:30 until the time of service Tuesday morning at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Clay City Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Flora 1st United Methodist Church and may be received at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
