Mr. Richard E. Wardell, 89, of Flora, Illinois, died at 9:50 a.m., Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Effingham Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Effingham, Illinois. Richard was born on October 22, 1926 in Ingraham, Illinois. He proudly served his country for many years in the United States Navy until his retirement from the U.S. Navy. Richard enjoyed going places and discovering many new things. His adventurous spirit was a great part of his inquisitive personality.
Richard is survived by many close friends who loved him dearly.
