Nadine Wallace

Ruth Nadine Nail Kessler Wallace, age 96, of Flora passed away at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Eastside Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, Illinois. Nadine was born March 2, 1921 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to James Grant and Emma Mae Frisby Nail. She was the youngest of 9 children. Nadine married Ray Kessler on March 14, 1939 in Hartville, Missouri. Ray and Nadine had two daughters, Janice and Elaine. Ray passed away on June 13, 1967 and following Ray’s death, Nadine moved from the family farm near Louisville to Flora, Illinois. Nadine later married Bill Wallace on April 26, 1974.

Along with her first husband Ray, Nadine is preceded in death by her daughter Janice Stoltz (September 20, 2015) and by her second husband Bill Wallace (February 27, 2016). Nadine is survived by daughter Elaine Graham (Phil) of Milton, Illinois and her son-in-law Stan Stoltz of Brea, California, grandchildren Karrie Graham Spann (Mike), Danny Graham (Jenny), Shelley Stoltz Vogel (Regis) and Jody Stoltz Wills (Tim), great-grandchildren Jayson Spann, Phillip Graham and Taylor Graham.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL. Interment will immediately follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville, IL.  Friends may call from 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.
