Marilyn Jean Anderson

Mrs. Marilyn Jean Anderson, 86, of Flora, Illinois, died at 1:44 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.  Jean was born on April 14, 1929, in Springerton, IL to Cloyd C. and Maggie Jane (Rockett) Malone.  On February 9, 1947, Jean married Walter Anderson in Wayne County, IL.  Jean was a telephone operator.  She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Flora and was truly devoted to the lord.  Jean dearly loved her family.

Jean is survived by her 3 children, Brad Anderson and wife Dona of Louisville, IL, Kathy Mason and husband Mick of Flora, IL, and Doug Anderson of Flora, IL, grandchildren, Jacob Mason of Flora, IL, Hayley Kohn and husband Jarrod of Louisville, IL, Dirk Anderson and wife Brooke of Salem, IL, Kristopher Mason and wife Roni of Flora, IL, Erika Workman of Charleston, IL, and Olivia Anderson of Flora, IL, great-grandchildren, Jeni, Keli, and Wesley Mason, and Elsie Anderson, sister, Lois Bathe of The Villages, FL, brother, Ervin Dean Malone and wife Jean of Carmi, IL, sister-in-law, Billie Anderson of Fairfield, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, Jim, Don, Lester, Dale, and Clyde Malone, and 5 sisters, Mary Malone, Dorothy Dannells, Bonnie Savage Kinney, Zelma Defoe, and Thelma Moore. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Kohn Funeral Home.  Interment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Willow Lane Activity Fund.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
