Margaret E. Dulaney

Mrs. Margaret Ellen Dulaney, 95, of Flora, Illinois, died at 7:55 a.m., Monday September 15, 2015 at Flora Gardens in Flora, IL. Margaret was born February 1, 1920 in Flora, IL, to William L. “Willie” and Mary Gertrude (Sweeney) Tackitt. She worked during World War II at a defense plant in Hammond, IN. She was a former employee of the Ranch Steakhouse in Flora, IL, and she retired from being a cook at the Flora Elks Club in 1985. She was of Christian faith and was a longtime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Flora, IL.

Margaret is survived by daughters Sharon Weaver of Flora, IL, Elaine Dulaney of Flora, IL, Carolyn Hall (Bill Frank) of Flora, IL, Marilyn Harper and husband Michael of Flora, IL, daughter in law Rosemary Tackitt of Xenia, IL, sons Ken Dulaney and wife Kendra of Flora, IL, Les “Munch” Dulaney and wife Lynn of Wooster, OH, brother Jim Tackitt of Flora, IL, sister Deloris Brewer and husband Walt of Flora, IL, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents “Pop” and “Gertie” Tackitt, husband Harry Allen Dulaney, son Buddy Tackitt, son in law Lyle Weaver, granddaughter Angie Miller and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL. Friends may call from 10 – 11 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.
