John "Fred" Kincaid

Mr. John Frederick “Fred” Kincaid, 75, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017.  Fred was born November 18, 1941, to John Paul and Berniece Zella (Blair) Kincaid in Clay County, Illinois.  He graduated from North Clay High School in 1959.  On August 5, 1962, he married Marilyn Kidwell at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville, and they have had 54 loving years of marriage.  He was a devoted lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Louisville and a former member of the Louisville Ruritan.  Fred was a farmer and owned Kincaid Farms with his brother, Edd.  In 1979, he and his brother founded Kincaid Brothers Grain, Inc.  He loved farming and trucking.  He truly enjoyed his corvettes and attending corvette shows.  Most of all, he loved his family, especially spending time with his grandkids. 

Fred is survived by his wife, Marilyn Kincaid of Louisville, IL, son, Steven Kincaid and wife Debra of Louisville, IL, daughter, Susan Shan and husband Matthew of Olney, IL, grandchildren, Clayton Kincaid and wife Rachel of Louisville, IL, Collin Kincaid of Cape Girardeau, MO, Ethan Shan of Olney, IL, and Olivia Shan of Olney, IL, brothers, Edd Kincaid and wife Phyllis of Flora, IL, and Lou Kincaid and wife Nancy of Holland, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Berniece Kincaid. 

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville, IL.  Interment will follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville.  Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the Clay County Cancer Crusaders and may be received at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
