Jessie Kincaid

Jessie Kincaid, 95, of Flora, Illinois, passed away at Helia Healthcare Center of Olney, IL, on Friday, September 15, 2017.  Jessie was born on September 27, 1921 in Ferges, IL, the daughter of George Harrison West and Slyvania West.  She married Burvil Kincaid on December 11, 1939, in Flora, IL.  Jessie and Burvil lived in Flora, IL, before moving to Florida in 1989.  Jessie loved gardening, cooking, traveling, her great-grandchildren and grandchildren, and her faith.  Jessie was a member of the Oak Baptist Church in Citrus Springs, Florida, where she was baptized in 1992. 

Jessie is survived by her four children, Brenda (Bob) Kingston of Fruitland Park, FL, Dale (Sheila) Kincaid of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Ross (Kathy) Kincaid of Crestview, FL, and Donna (Larry) Phillips of Clay City, IL; one brother, William (Sharon) West of West Frankfort, IL; grandchildren, Roger and Kevin Kingston, Wesley Kincaid, Lori Kincaid Renner, and Jason Vairo; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley, and Sidney Kingston, Tyler and Brandon Renner, and Kaylee Kincaid; great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Renner; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Burvil; two grandchildren, Eric Manning Kingston and Derek Allen Miller; two sisters, and brother-in-laws, Charles and Georgia Moake and Tony and Betty Sovoia; sister-in-law, Diane West; two nieces, Debbie Rhodes and Judy Etling; and one nephew, Eddie Moake.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL.  Interment will immediately follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville, IL.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Helia Healthcare and may be received at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kohnfuneralhome.com.
